2016 NCECA Outstanding Achievement Award.
The Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes individuals who have successfully completed a singular project that has contributed to the field of ceramic arts in an extraordinary way. You surpass the criteria for this award given the profound impact through your support of so many artists in an international exchange administered through the Lighton International Artists Exchange Program. The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts board members were in unanimous agreement that this award is most deserved, you have earned this acknowledgement by being the highest quality patron and supporter of artists and international exchanges. Your commitment to an art centered global conversation is truly commendable. I'm so honored to have the occasion to send a correspondence in celebration of your contributions. Your nomination from Misty Gamble and letters of support from Lori-Ann Touchette, Ted Vogel and Bede Clarke were written with such respect and admiration for the work you have done to foster global conversations. These letters further informed the Nominations Committee and NCECA Board, which was in full heartfelt consensus of you as a recipient of the award this upcoming year.
Thank you for your outstanding contributions to the development of the ceramic arts through your work as an exemplary artist, activist, patron and supporter of the arts. You have made a profound impact to the field. You have my most sincere congratulations.
